Many congratulations and huge thanks to Ms Raison and the team for organising the inaugural Park Hall Academy Fashion Show last night. According to all involved in staging the show, the audience and the community, it was a fantastic success – lots of fun, tremendously enjoyable and also raised an impressive sum for the Children’s Heart Appeal in the process – over £600 and counting!
The show was brilliantly supported by all sorts of people and staff from across the Academy and its community as well as our students – especially from Years 9, 10 and 11 and the sixth form. A huge thanks to everyone who made it such an enjoyable night – you really were a massive credit to the Academy.
The evening was organised by our media students, led and supported by Ms Raison, Ms Lewis and Mr Crawford as part of their studies. They all did a superb job in bringing together the many different elements that went into making the show possible – from all the pre-recording to getting so many businesses to support the evening free of charge (and lots more besides)! The show was themed around the Prom and the audience, entering the Hall through an arch of balloons, were treated to some magnificent dancing, modelling, music and entertainment. As well as all this, companies supplying Prom clothing, limousines and all the other Prom accessories were present to showcase their wares as did many areas of the Academy – just look at the pictures of the Art exhibition!
My personal highlight from the evening was seeing our students model some fantastic Prom clothes (not a ‘stitch up’ honest) and also seeing Mr Cornell’s hip hop dancing – an inspiration, if only we had taken a photo!
Well done again to everyone involved and also many thanks to all our friends and the community who supported such a worthy cause and fantastic event!
